So it was the 59th Annual Grammy Award ceremony two nights ago.  I have always loved watching the Grammys because I get to watch my favourite artists performing.  I also like to look at the Grammys Red Carpet.  Some of the fashions are really gaudy and weird and it gets weirder every year.  However, there are also some notable styles that are winning the red carpet.  I have here some of my favourites.  Oh not forgetting, one of the performances that I really enjoyed watching with the speakers blasting out loud is the tribute to Bee Gees by Demi Lovato, Tori Kelly, Little Big Town and Andra Day.

How To Look Effortlessly Chic?

Sometimes I wonder why some people can look so effortlessly chic.  These people are often in their denim and a shirt or even a sweatshirt but they really look fashionable.  I know this is a silly though but I have been thinking about it for a while.  How does one pull off a chic look together without much effort?  Does a person have to be slim in order to pull off an effortless style?  I read somewhere that it is important to have a set of efficient wardrobe.  Key fashion pieces are important such as a few pairs of nice pants, denim, tailored tops, statement necklaces and shoes. Classic pieces that fit well, flatter your body and can be mixed and matched easily are all we need.

Beyonce Is Having Twins

Have you heard the latest news about Queen Bee?  She made an announcement on her Instagram that she is expecting twins with her hubby, Jay Z.  Within the first hour, her post had over 2.4 million likes and over 160,000 comments .  The social media went on a frenzy since The Carters’ announcement.  Some internet sleuths even tried to predict the gender of the babies based on the outfit Beyonce was wearing during her pregnancy photo shoot.

The couple got married in 2008 and has an older daughter, Blue Ivy.   Congratulations to the Carters.  Suddenly I feel like listening to some Beyonce’s songs on my monitor.

Skirts are indeed the epitome of femininity.  The stylish pleat skirts were on the runways during Fall 2016 collection. Whether it is midi, knee-length or long, it is an indisputable must-have.  Pleated skirts are perfect in an office look or a night out.  Many women chose to wear long pants during the winter months and skirts are not a very popular choice.  I find it extremely stylish to wear a knee-length pleat skirt with a leather jacket and knee high boots. Black Necklaces On Black Outfits

Have you ever tried matching black necklaces with your black outfit, whether it is a top or a dress?  I have seen women with black choker necklaces and black top.  They look great.  I think it is because we get to see the neckline which separates the necklace from the clothes.  What about a black statement necklace with a black top?  What are your thoughts on this?

Janet Jackson Gives Birth To A Baby Boy

Janet Jackson and her husband, Wissam Al Mana, have just become proud parents to a baby boy.  The 50-year-old popstar gave birth on Tuesday, January 3rd.  According to her rep, Ms. Jackson had a stress free and healthy delivery.  Their new son is named Eissa Al Mana.

Jackson and Qatari businessman Mr Al Mana  got married quietly in 2012.  She postponed her Unbreakable world tour in April so they could focus on starting a family.
